William (Bill) J. McCorriston was called to the Bar in 1982. He joined the firm in 1985 and has been a partner since 1988.
Bill practises civil litigation, primarily insurance-related personal injury matters. Bill’s professional interests include motor vehicle tort and Statutory Accident Benefits matters, occupiers’ claims and disability claims. He has enjoyed the study of the implications of Workplace Safety and Insurance Act bars to actions.
He has tried cases in Ontario before both judges alone and before juries, arbitrated at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and appeared at Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal hearings on a number of occasions.
Bill is also frequently called on to act as a mediator to assist counsel and clients with the resolution of actions.
Bill is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.
