Joy Stothers is an associate with Hughes Amys LLP. Joy graduated from Osgoode Law School 2003 and was called to the Bar in 2004. Joy obtained her Master of Laws from Osgoode Law School in 2009. Joy works in the area of accident benefit and tort defence and priority disputes, appearing before FSCO, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal.

Prior to her career in law, Joy worked as an in-house and independent adjuster for many years, obtaining her CIP in 1986 and her FCIP in 1991.

Joy is on the faculty of Sheridan College and Osgoode Law School. Joy is the co-founder of Bowmore Road Daycare, a not-for-profit school age daycare. Joy is also on the board of directors of the Academy of Lions Foundation, a non-profit organization offering life skills development to at-risk youths.
