Gabriela E. Nagy joined Hughes Amys LLP in September 2010. She commenced her insurance defence practice at a prominent insurance defence litigation boutique firm before moving to the position of in-house counsel for a large insurance company. She works out of the Toronto office.
Gabriela practices civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, occupiers’ liability, property damage and coverage issues. She has appeared in various proceedings before the Superior Court of Justice and assisted with matters before the Court of Appeal. She has attended numerous examinations for discovery, motions, pre-trial conferences and mediations.
Gabriela was called to the bar in 2003. She obtained an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a law degree from the University of Ottawa. She has training in Alternative Dispute Resolution and recently attended the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode Hall Law School.
She is a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, Medical-Legal Society and Ontario Bar Association.
