Hughes Amys LLP is pleased to announce that Tyler Dellow and Michelle Surace recently joined the firm as first year associates
Tyler has a J.D. from the University of Toronto, a B.Com. (Hons) in Sports Administration and a B.A. (Political Science) from Laurentian University. He currently practices in our insurance law group.
Michelle has an LL.B. from University of Windsor and a B.A. (Hons) with distinction from the University of Toronto. She currently practices in our insurance law and commercial litigation groups.
Both Tyler and Michelle articled with the firm and were called to the Ontario Bar in 2007.
Jamie Trimble elected VP of Ontario Bar Association
We’re pleased to announce that Hughes Amys partner Jamie Trimble has been elected as Vice President of the Ontario Bar Association. Jamie will serve as Vice President for the next year and then assume the Presidency of the Association for the final year of his two-year commitment.
Jamie has practiced with the firm since his call to the Bar in 1989, with a broad practice focused on tort and insurance litigation. Jamie is honoured to have been elected to this important position and looks forward to serving the profession in the months to come.
Jack Fitch elected to highest position of insurance fraternity
We’re pleased to announce that Hughes Amys partner Jack Fitch was elected Most Loyal Grand Gander of the Honourable Order of the Blue Goose International on July 23, 2007. The Most Loyal Grand Gander is the highest officer position in the organization.
The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International was founded in 1906 and is the oldest and largest insurance fraternity in North America, with approximately 5,000 members in the U.S., Canada and Australia. More information about the organization can be found at www.bluegoose.org.
Jack has practiced with Hughes Amys since his call to the Bar in 1980, with a broad-based civil litigation practice. He is honoured to have been elected to this prestigious position and will serve in the role for a one-year term through July 2008.
